Software Development Analyst – Level III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical owner of a specific domain or subsystem, ensuring its safe and sustainable development over time.

• Ensure the domain functions within established SLOs (latency/errors/availability) and actively strive to enhance reliability.

• Spearhead technical planning and execution for the domain: including decomposition, identifying dependencies, assessing risks, implementation, and validation.

• Continuously elevate the team's technical capabilities: advocate for best practices, enforce meticulous code reviews, and provide references, documentation, and standards.

• Serve as an internal technical authority: assist with complex decision-making, facilitate discussions, and minimize rework.

• Direct incident response for your domain: including mitigation, thorough RCA, and structured preventive measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js (async/await, promises, error handling; event loop, streams, and concurrency).

• Experience in REST API development utilizing OpenAPI (contracts, validation, and status codes).

• SQL expertise (Postgres): including queries, migrations, query optimization, and indexing.

• Familiarity with Git and PR workflow (small commits, rebase, and straightforward conflict resolution).

• Knowledge of automated testing (unit, integration, and contract) using Jest.

• Experience with CI/CD and deployment processes: including pipelines (lint/test/build/deploy), smoke tests, environment variables, and logging.

• Understanding of observability: structured logging, basic metrics, and lightweight tracing.

• Experience with messaging and resilience (BullMQ/RabbitMQ): retries, DLQ, idempotency, and ordering when necessary.

• Knowledge of performance and scalability: profiling, common bottlenecks, and trade-offs.

• Understanding of applied system design fundamentals: rate limiting, circuit breaker, bulkhead, and graceful degradation.

• Knowledge of concurrency and data integrity: locks and consistency (optimistic/pessimistic).

• Basics of NoSQL and caching (TTL and risks of inconsistency).

• Experience in incident management: mitigation, RCA/post-mortem, and preventive actions.
