Software Developer, Python Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture and development of the backend, making key technical decisions and providing guidance to the team.

• This position demands extensive hands-on experience: the candidate should be capable of designing the architecture, writing code, thoroughly reviewing pull requests, and resolving complex issues directly rather than just delegating.

• Develop a Python backend to support business logic and API integration.

• Design and create APIs and endpoints utilizing FastAPI.

• Engage in software development activities.

• Consume managed APIs and effectively handle states and errors.

• Integrate authentication and authorization mechanisms (tokens/session/roles) in accordance with CIAM.

• Create and maintain tests (both unit and integration) and provide support for these.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with APIs.

• Understanding of TypeScript.

• Knowledge of Next.js.

• Experience with React.js.

• Preferred: TypeScript combined with React/Next.js.

• Experience with SSR/SSG and web performance optimization.

• Familiarity with EDD.

• Experience with Redis.

• Background with MuleSoft or a similar enterprise integration platform.

• Ability to deliver features per sprint with documentation.

• Knowledge of documented APIs (OpenAPI) and ensuring stable contracts.

• Development of maintainable and well-tested services.

• Adaptability to changing requirements.

• Experience with backend authentication: JWT, CIAM integration (Okta, Azure AD B2C or similar), and RBAC.

• Testing skills: utilizing fixtures, mocking, unit and integration tests, and code coverage tools.

• Understanding of observability practices: logging, tracing, and integration with Cloud Logging and Cloud Trace.

• Operational knowledge of GCP: deployment in GCP, IAM, Secret Manager, and environment variables.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
