This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, document, test, and troubleshoot new and existing software systems, applications, and/or components for market sale or proprietary use.
• Make design choices that promote leverage, potential reusability, componentization, extensibility, maintainability, and minimal coupling.
• Convert business requirements into technical solutions that comply with architectural best practices.
• Offer solutions and alternatives to challenges affecting timelines, scalability, and performance related to production, implementation, and technological advancements for SitusAMC.
• Contribute to the creation of a technical roadmap.
• Keep up to date with evolving platforms, programming languages, and web/database technologies.
• Remain informed about business initiatives and objectives, especially regarding infrastructure and development architecture issues.
• Assess new platforms, technologies, and software products/techniques to evaluate the feasibility and desirability of integrating their capabilities into the company’s products.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all technology areas and instill this mindset within the team.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Software Development team members as an escalation point.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, information systems preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 6+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with at least 1+ years in a Senior Associate level role or an external equivalent.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming.
• Proficient in multiple programming languages, software development environments, and software development life-cycle procedures, including but not limited to: PHP, JSON, Java, AWS, API Integrations, RESTful Web services, and both structured and unstructured databases, as well as JavaScript frameworks (Angular, VUE, React).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, or similar tools.
• Interest and capability to learn additional programming languages as necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing demands, delays, or unforeseen events.
• Experience in Application Integration and building APIs for the rapid integration of products.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum and DevOps-aligned delivery teams.
• Experience in developing software development estimates.
• Background in developing cloud-native applications and/or migrating applications to the cloud, preferably AWS.
• Capability to serve as a player-coach in leading a developer team environment.
• Adaptable to changing environments and capable of altering approaches or methods to best suit the situation.
