This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Explore innovative methods that integrate top-tier heuristics with optimization techniques.
• Convert real-world Supply Chain Management scenarios into mathematical models.
• Oversee the design and execution of the mathematical model.
• Establish testing strategies and create thorough testing plans.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality and error-free software.
• Design, develop, and sustain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing utilizing various testing frameworks and tools.
• Work closely with agile team members and other stakeholders.
• Influence the future path of Kinaxis as we expand into new markets.
• MSc or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Over 3 years of experience in software development with a proven record of delivering commercial software.
• Proficient in C++, including knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, and unit testing.
• Passionate about data structures and algorithms, with a keen interest in applying them in practical scenarios.
• Experience in developing mathematical models for real-world optimization challenges.
• Familiarity with commercial solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress, and CPLEX.
• Capability to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for various types of testing using testing frameworks and tools.
• Ability to identify opportunities to enhance the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) through innovative use of AI or other tools, while maintaining architectural integrity, secure design, and code quality standards.
• Proficient in rigorously reviewing AI-generated code for accuracy, architectural compatibility, integration risks, and edge case considerations, with a growth-oriented mindset and a tendency towards experimentation.
• Knowledge of machine learning models and algorithms is a plus.
• Familiarity with Supply Chain Management concepts (Demand Planning, MRP, S&OP, Capacity Planning) is a plus.
