Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to create, enhance, and sustain features for our EMR platform developed in Ruby on Rails.

• Play a key role in enhancing and maintaining our automated testing infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and code quality throughout the platform.

• Actively engage in Agile Scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, offering ideas and solutions.

• Produce and maintain concise technical documentation to facilitate ongoing development and knowledge sharing.

• Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, developer workflows, and overall product quality.

• Report directly to the Development Team Lead.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing general web applications.

• At least 5 years of experience in Agile development environments.

• Strong grasp of SOLID principles, testing methodologies, and version control (Git).

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills with a readiness to impart knowledge to teammates.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Nice to Have: Experience in EMR, healthcare software, or regulated environments.

• Familiarity with full stack Ruby on Rails (including Turbo + Hotwire).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (OpenTofu/Terraform, AWS).

• Experience in enhancing automated testing frameworks (RSpec, Playwright).

• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks or front-end technologies.

• Leadership experience or team lead capabilities are a plus.
