Software Configuration Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and execute the management of GitHub Enterprise along with the Git Flow methodology for more than 180 developers.

• Establish GitHub processes encompassing versioning, tagging, branching strategies, and Git scripting.

• Develop various strategies that incorporate a centralized version control model utilizing Git Flow and standardized Git procedures.

• Improve processes for automating branches for software releases.

• Collaborate with project teams to formulate build release schedules and take ownership of the packaging and build process.

• Coordinate code synchronization across all environments.

• Advance CI/CD practices to include automated testing within Jenkins.

• Investigate potential opportunities for process enhancements.

• Participate in meetings such as CM Scrum, HDM Daily Touchbase, weekly CRB, and weekly deployment sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools, and automation.

• Robust development background utilizing various development tools, techniques, and platform technologies.

• Subject matter expertise in Jenkins deployments and comprehensive knowledge of Jenkins and GitHub.

• Proficient in manual deployments with subject matter expertise in SSH access.

• Experience in JavaScript development.

• Familiarity with UNIX environments and experience navigating UNIX systems.

• Subject matter expertise in Git/Bash scripting.

• Experience using tools across multiple platforms and environments, including Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, AI, etc.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients and team members, including experience in documenting and presenting findings.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

• Willingness to support after-hours software deployments, averaging one night per week.

• Highly detail-oriented.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, as this is a customer-facing role.
