This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Design and establish new software automation procedures and standards tailored to business requirements.
• Participate as a member of an agile development team to promote consistent automation and software development practices, including tools, shared components, and documentation.
• Collaborate with application and product managers, software developers, and other stakeholders to create suitable automation across various software applications.
• Conduct business analysis of functional requirements for software applications being developed for automation.
• Identify and troubleshoot workload automation and job scheduling challenges.
• Continuously design and implement job scheduling infrastructure.
• Assist application developers in coding, testing, and implementing various processes to facilitate workload automation.
• Work alongside experienced team members to initiate independent and collaborative efforts on internal and external projects, determining optimal approaches for automation using software tools and scripting languages.
• Begin analyzing software requirements, procedures, and issues with guidance from experienced team members to assess the need for additional software automation or enhancements to existing applications and systems.
• Uphold software automation standards, policies, and procedures across the organization, covering development, quality assurance, unit testing, and production environments.
• Review audit and control processes, change management, process architecture, and other automation-related concerns. Report findings and collaborate with team members to identify solutions when necessary.
• Execute the conversion and migration of new or existing process flows into a software automation solution.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of software or system integrations with other platforms within the supported environments.
• Communicate effectively with third parties and technical/business owners regarding solution design.
• Support standards, policies, and procedures for workload automation across the organization.
• Create and document Production Control processes and procedures.
• Develop and establish new protocols and standards based on business needs.
• Enforce Production Control standards and policies.
• A four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
• At least one year of relevant experience in software automation, systems engineering, application analysis, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in specialized automation software or scripting essential for automation, such as scheduling automation software, process and decision automation, data capture, management, and transfer tools, workflow orchestration, robotic process automation (RPA), and business rule management software.
• Familiarity with relational databases like Oracle and Microsoft database technologies, as well as SQL.
• Knowledge of various operating system platforms, including Linux, AIX, Microsoft, etc.
• Demonstrated eagerness and ability to learn new technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to discuss and clarify technical and analytical topics.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to be self-directed in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
• High level of adaptability, motivation, and initiative, with the capability to adjust approaches based on new information.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
