Software Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain automated testing scripts utilizing Cypress and JavaScript to assess the functionality of web applications.

• Develop and execute test cases for regression, feature, and performance testing.

• Work alongside developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to comprehend requirements and pinpoint testing scenarios.

• Engage in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-up meetings to guarantee that test coverage and quality objectives are achieved.

• Establish and configure CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, build processes, and deployment workflows.

• Create and oversee Docker containers for testing environments and to isolate dependencies.

• Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure application compatibility across various browsers and devices.

• Implement and maintain Page Object Model (POM) and Data-Driven Testing (DDT) frameworks to enhance test scalability and upkeep.

• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman to verify backend functionality, data integrity, and API endpoints.

• Document and track defects via bug tracking tools, collaborating closely with developers to address issues promptly.

• Continuously refine testing processes, tools, and methodologies to improve overall product quality and efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).

• Demonstrated experience in automation testing, particularly with Cypress for end-to-end testing.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript for crafting test scripts and automation code.

• Practical experience with Cypress for UI and functional test automation.

• Proficient in JavaScript for test script creation.

• Familiarity with GitHub or other version control systems for collaborative work and code management.

• Experience in establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.

• Knowledge of Docker and containerization principles to manage testing environments.

• Proficiency in cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure application compatibility.

• Understanding and application of Page Object Model (POM) and Data-Driven Testing (DDT) methodologies.

• Significant experience with Postman for API testing and validation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers.

• Proactive attitude with a dedication to continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
