Mid Automation Engineer – Workato, Power Platform, Mulesoft

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Identify, design, and implement automations that minimize manual tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

• Create and execute comprehensive workflows utilizing platforms like Workato and Microsoft Power Automate.

• Establish integrations between SaaS applications, cloud databases, and internal systems through APIs, JSON data transformations, and webhooks.

• Develop RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions for processes that cannot be directly integrated via APIs.

• Incorporate AI-driven intelligent steps into workflows for tasks such as text classification, summarization, and data extraction.

• Design reusable automation components, custom connectors, templates, and patterns to expedite pipeline delivery.

• Monitor the performance of automations, troubleshoot cloud flows, and optimize workflows to enhance scalability and maintainability.

• Clearly document automated solutions and operational procedures.

• Establish automation governance and best practices while assessing new technologies to enhance the operational landscape.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in comparable roles.

• Practical expertise with automation and workflow integration platforms such as Workato, Power Automate, Mulesoft, and n8n.

• Significant experience in delivering cloud workflow automations and system integrations.

• Technical proficiency in REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication protocols (OAuth, API keys).

• Extensive knowledge of event-driven architectures and contemporary system integration patterns.

• Hands-on experience with managing API inputs/outputs with LLMs and structuring prompts within workflows.

• Hybrid coding capability: able to write Python or JavaScript for tasks like data array cleansing, JSON parsing, and complex workflow logic.

• Experience with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions.

• Familiarity with document processing and automated data extraction.

• Capability to create custom connectors for integration platforms.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A pragmatic "builder" mindset, prioritizing automation that delivers tangible business value.

• Proactive in assessing and recommending new automation technologies.
