Software Architect, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance solution architectures at both high and low levels, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and high-performing.

• Act as a technical reference for various teams, guiding architectural choices and engineering standards.

• Lead the formulation of cloud-native architecture on AWS, focusing on observability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.

• Establish and oversee integration standards through APIs, messaging, and event-driven architecture.

• Assist and direct teams in the consistent application of technologies such as .NET, Java, and Vue.js, fostering technological unity.

• Drive and assess estimates based on complexity to ensure delivery predictability and quality.

• Advocate for engineering best practices, including TDD, BDD, Clean Architecture, code reviews, and automated testing.

• Aid in strategic decisions concerning infrastructure, security, data management, and complex integrations.

• Work on refining operational models to enhance efficiency and delivery flow.

• Ensure technical governance by minimizing technical debt and promoting the continuous evolution of solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Software Architect or Staff Engineer in complex environments.

• Proficiency in cloud architecture on AWS, encompassing microservices, serverless architectures, and distributed systems.

• Experience in backend development with .NET and Java.

• Familiarity with modern frontend technologies such as Vue.js, TypeScript, or Node.js.

• Understanding of REST API architecture and event-driven systems.

• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.

• Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code methodologies, including Terraform and GitHub Actions.

• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, including microservices, modular monoliths, and event-driven architecture.

• Mastery of design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code best practices.

• Experience with observability practices, including logging, metrics, and tracing.

• Capability to establish standards, enforce technical governance, and lead strategic architectural decisions.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills across multiple teams and stakeholders.
