Software Architect – Back-office, Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define the operating model for the team: managing card workflows in Jira, facilitating ceremonies, establishing definitions of ready and done, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring visibility for stakeholders.

• Elevate the standard of technical excellence by implementing code reviews, testing protocols, thorough documentation, managing technical debt, and setting clear acceptance criteria.

• Equip the team to support various business areas through the development of a demand intake model, capacity planning, internal service level agreements (SLAs), and effective stakeholder communication.

• Promote the integration of AI in the development cycle (such as Claude Code and similar tools), focusing on measuring genuine productivity improvements rather than mere adoption.

• Provide detailed technical oversight for deliveries, including solution architecture, integration decisions, risk assessments, and evaluating trade-offs.

• Foster the development of team members alongside the current technical leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams (covering architecture, coordination, or technical management) with a proven record of structuring processes rather than simply maintaining them.

• Extensive background in architecture, particularly in integrations, financial and transactional systems, APIs, and messaging.

• Proven experience in modernizing legacy systems, capable of collaborating with existing systems while developing new solutions.

• Practical application of AI as an engineering tool in everyday tasks (beyond mere curiosity).

• Strong interpersonal skills: able to lead without centralizing authority, allowing space for existing technical leaders, and establishing influence through expertise rather than title. This is a non-negotiable requirement.

• Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical business stakeholders.

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields is required. Alternative educational backgrounds will be accepted if accompanied by proof of equivalent technical experience.
