Software Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems for Netomi's fundamental platform.

• Create and enhance low-latency applications that can manage high-throughput workloads effectively.

• Facilitate technical design discussions and establish architectural best practices across engineering teams.

• Engage extensively with Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, and ECS.

• Take ownership of performance tuning, database optimization, caching strategies, and distributed system architecture.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineering leaders, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure reliable platform functionalities.

• Review code, mentor senior engineers, and promote engineering excellence.

• Ensure that platform components are resilient, observable, maintainable, and ready for production.

• Make decisions regarding architecture related to microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, scalability, and deployment methodologies.

• Recognize technical risks and proactively suggest solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend/platform engineering.

• Extensive expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

• Profound experience with MySQL, covering schema design, indexing, query optimization, and transaction management.

• Practical experience with Redis for caching, rate limiting, queues, or low-latency data retrieval.

• Significant cloud experience with AWS, particularly in production-grade deployments.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerized application environments.

• Hands-on experience with AWS ECS or equivalent container orchestration platforms.

• Demonstrated ability in designing and developing low-latency, high-performance applications.

• Strong comprehension of distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and system scalability.

• Experience in monitoring, logging, debugging, and resolving production incidents.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, ownership mentality, and technical leadership skills.
