This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.
• Take ownership of and implement the club's organic social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube.
• Create and manage content calendars that align with match schedules, transfer windows, club announcements, sponsorship initiatives, and essential campaigns.
• Foster growth in followers, engagement, impressions, and overall audience reach.
• Recognize emerging platform opportunities, innovative content formats, and effective growth strategies.
• Convert business and brand goals into impactful social content initiatives.
• Generate and publish a high volume of platform-specific content across various social media channels.
• Repurpose material from club assets, media partners, creators, and user-generated content.
• Develop compelling short-form and long-form content tailored for each platform.
• Independently edit video content and modify creative assets for diverse audiences and formats.
• Ensure consistency in visual identity, storytelling, and brand representation.
• Engage actively with supporters and followers across all primary social media platforms.
• Monitor comments, direct messages, audience sentiment, and community discussions.
• Cultivate meaningful interactions and enhance relationships with supporters.
• Appropriately escalate reputation risks, audience concerns, and critical feedback.
• Contribute to building a highly engaged and globally connected football community.
• Oversee social media activities on match days throughout the season.
• Publish real-time content, including highlights, reactions, results updates, and behind-the-scenes insights.
• Collaborate with internal media teams and stakeholders to guarantee timely content delivery.
• Maintain high-quality engagement and storytelling during live sporting events.
• Track and evaluate key performance metrics such as reach, engagement, impressions, video views, and follower growth.
• Generate regular performance reports and strategic recommendations.
• Identify content gaps, growth opportunities, and areas for enhancement.
• Utilize platform insights and audience data to optimize future content performance.
• Continuously refine social media strategies in response to evolving trends and results.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Communications, club leadership, media teams, creative partners, and other essential stakeholders to implement the club's digital growth strategy and enhance its global presence.
• Over 4 years of experience managing social media accounts for brands, sports organizations, media companies, entertainment firms, or similar high-growth consumer-facing environments.
• In-depth understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube, including platform algorithms, audience behaviors, and content best practices.
• Extensive experience in creating, editing, and publishing both short-form and long-form video content.
• Proven success in organically growing social media audiences and enhancing engagement metrics.
• Strong capability to craft compelling narratives, devise engaging content concepts, and adjust messaging across various platforms.
• Experience in engaging online communities, managing audience interactions, and fostering brand loyalty through social media.
• Exceptional written communication and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and deliver consistently without heavy supervision.
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and ambitious growth targets.
• Willingness to assist with match-day coverage, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
