This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in executing the GeneDx social media strategy to achieve both short- and long-term company objectives, including optimizing resource usage and distinguishing the brand from competitors.
• Establish and report on monthly and quarterly social media objectives that align with the overall social media strategy, while enhancing internal processes for greater efficiency.
• Identify and communicate platform and industry trends, offering insights and guidance to colleagues on the marketing and leadership teams.
• Track competitor activities and emerging trends in healthcare, biotechnology, and social media to uncover opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
• Create and compose impactful organic social media posts that attract attention, engage users, and enhance brand visibility, ensuring consistency with existing corporate and client messaging.
• Plan, develop, execute, and oversee the organic social publishing calendar, guaranteeing timely content publication.
• Coordinate publishing schedules across various campaigns, product launches, awareness initiatives, and corporate projects.
• Collaborate with the Creative team to lead messaging efforts and produce social media content that aligns with organizational goals, utilizing tools to organize and track activities.
• Evaluate, measure, and enhance the effectiveness of social content, suggesting creative modifications to optimize performance and achieve business objectives.
• Create, implement, manage, and update our social content library, identifying messaging gaps and exploring innovative formats and visuals (such as polls, infographics, videos, and carousels).
• Oversee and enhance the GeneDx LinkedIn newsletter strategy, encompassing editorial planning, content creation, publication, and performance assessment.
• Lead and support the GeneDx employee social advocacy program, empowering employees to amplify company messaging and thought leadership content.
• Discover and cultivate new opportunities for social storytelling that enhance the GeneDx brand, humanize our mission, and engage key audiences, including healthcare providers, patients, families, and employees.
• Collaborate across internal teams to uncover compelling stories, milestones, customer experiences, and thought leadership opportunities that are suitable for social amplification.
• Recommend and test new content formats, campaigns, collaborations with creators, and platform-specific storytelling techniques to boost engagement and brand affinity.
• Simplify complex healthcare and genomics subjects into accessible, engaging, and platform-native social content featuring subject matter experts as spokespeople.
• Responsible for daily social monitoring and engagement, interacting with users on social platforms to create a positive experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years of experience in social media, content marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in creating content across various social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and emerging channels.
• Experience in managing social media editorial calendars, newsletters, and employee advocacy initiatives.
• Proficient in social media management and analytics tools, including Google Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, and/or similar platforms.
• Experience in the healthcare sector and/or in a regulated environment (preferred but not mandatory).
• Basic understanding of graphic design principles, with professional experience using tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, or other graphic design software.
• Professional ability to craft engaging and attention-grabbing social media content, with B2B experience preferred.
• Strong storytelling aptitude with the capability to identify significant narratives and transform complex topics into engaging social-first content.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy, applying this skill to tasks such as copy proofing, creating UTM/tracking parameters, and assessing creative performance.
• Ability to interact professionally and amicably with a diverse range of individuals, including healthcare provider customers, patients and their families, employees, and company leaders.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and adjust priorities as necessary.
• Exceptional data analysis, reporting, communication, and presentation skills.
