This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain automated scripts and tools for data extraction from various social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, and others.

• Ensure adherence to the terms of service and privacy regulations of each platform.

• Proactively monitor and resolve issues within crawling systems to guarantee reliable and precise data collection.

• Evaluate the gathered data to uncover significant trends, insights, and patterns in alignment with business objectives.

• Collaborate closely with data scientists, marketing, and research teams to provide pertinent data for their projects.

• Enhance crawling systems for efficiency, scalability, and adaptability in response to platform modifications.

• Keep abreast of updates in social media platforms and APIs to refine crawling strategies as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in web crawling, scraping, or data extraction from social media platforms.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.

• Familiar with social media APIs (e.g., LinkedIn API, Facebook Graph API, Twitter API, Instagram API).

• Strong grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Awareness of data privacy legislations and ethical considerations pertinent to data scraping.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a sharp attention to detail.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Preferred Skills:

• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.

• Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools.

• Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
