SOC 2 Assessor – Part time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess and test the effectiveness of internal controls in alignment with the relevant AICPA Trust Services Criteria (TSC), which encompass: Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy.

• Execute gap analyses and readiness evaluations to pinpoint and document deficiencies in the organization's current controls.

• Collect and organize adequate and relevant evidence to substantiate the findings.

• Assemble the audit outcomes into a comprehensive SOC 2 Type 2 report.

• Offer recommendations and advice on remediation strategies and best practices to enhance the security posture.

• Develop and review key performance indicators for the security measures implemented and distribute these KPIs accordingly.

• Stay informed about the threat landscape by monitoring threat intelligence and other pertinent sources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in IT security compliance.

• Recent involvement with SOC 2.

• Knowledge of cloud computing security.

• Understanding of security governance and policy.

• Experience in security risk analysis.

• Familiarity with threat intelligence.

• Skills in incident management, including analysis, detection, and resolution of security events.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience (preferred).

• Military and/or practical job experience may be accepted in place of formal education, provided there are significant industry certifications.
