
Snowmaking Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Effectively oversee the snowmaking crew, which includes responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing tasks; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; and addressing complaints while resolving issues.
• Maintain all snowmaking machinery and equipment, including compressors, pumps, control systems, and any other components related to the snowmaking process.
• Provide advice and recommendations regarding purchasing decisions for equipment, capital investments, design, and operational aspects.
• Assist in leading and directing the design, planning, and installation of snowmaking expansion and repair initiatives.
• Execute a long-term strategy focusing on energy efficiency, reducing water usage, and minimizing snowmaking operations within the constraints of seasonal temperatures, operational dates, and event schedules.
• Supervise and manage all summer maintenance projects.
• Prepare and adhere to the annual budget.
• Ensure prompt and accurate payroll for all employees.
• Foster positive working relationships across all departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A valid, unrestricted Driver’s License is required.
• Prior experience in snowmaking is mandatory.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Ability to obtain an ASC snowmobile license is necessary.
• Intermediate skiing or snowboarding skills are preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check and DMV check is required.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite are essential.
• Capability to manage and lead diverse teams, promoting a positive and productive work atmosphere.
• Skills in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders are necessary.
• Ability to effectively delegate tasks, empowering teams while maintaining accountability.
