Snowflake Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Engage in hands-on development and optimization of the data backend, ensuring architectural consistency, stability, and performance.

• Construct and enhance Snowflake data models and workloads (raw → curated → data products), with a strong emphasis on cost efficiency and performance.

• Create and sustain transformation logic in dbt (modeling, refactoring, tests, documentation, macros) to guarantee data quality and scalability.

• Manage reliable data pipelines utilizing Airflow/Astronomer (DAG design, dependencies, retries, monitoring/alerting) to ensure readiness for production.

• Leverage Git + CI/CD to uphold code quality and facilitate automated testing and deployments throughout the data platform.

• Collaborate with IT and business partners to devise solutions for specific challenges, sometimes utilizing existing systems and solutions.

• Foster professional relationships with clients, management, and team members to ensure the successful delivery of proposed solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• Demonstrated experience in enterprise-scale analytics platforms.

• Capable of working independently, comprehending architectural constraints, and assuming ownership.

• Exhibit strong customer orientation for both internal and external stakeholders, complemented by a proactive and solution-focused approach.

• Strong interest in AI-driven tools along with the capacity to integrate them into daily operations.

• Fluent in business English; knowledge of German is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to meet clients.
