This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Establish trust-based relationships with small business owners in low- to moderate-income neighborhoods.
• Advocate for and highlight the needs of local business owners.
• Collaborate with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to enhance access to capital and technical support.
• Assist in CRA-eligible community development initiatives.
• Partner with regional and local leadership to pinpoint outreach opportunities.
• Increase support through Special Purpose Credit Programs.
• Coordinate place-based initiatives throughout the Bank’s service areas.
• Connect small businesses with financial solutions, educational resources, and networking opportunities.
• Promote access to capital, mentorship, and operational guidance.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and events for small business owners.
• Champion fair and consistent access to customized financial products and services.
• Monitor engagement, program participation, and the impact of initiatives.
• Identify gaps and trends to guide strategic enhancements.
• Assist in the documentation and reporting of CRA-related activities.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Community Development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in small business development, community outreach, advocacy, or related areas.
• Familiarity with CRA or community development is beneficial.
• Strong grasp of the challenges and opportunities faced by small businesses in low- to moderate-income areas.
• Outstanding relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively across teams and adjust to evolving business environments.
• Direct experience in supporting small businesses in low- to moderate-income communities.
• Working knowledge of financial products and services utilized by small businesses.
• Understanding of CRA community development principles and industry best practices.
• Multilingual skills enhance broader engagement and inclusion.
