This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Execute timely investigations, which include recorded statements and interviews with claimants, witnesses, and employers.
• Provide prompt status updates to both the case manager and the client.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation of claim files.
• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Formulate a suitable investigative action plan.
• Guarantee the accuracy, quality, and promptness of the evidence collected during investigations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, legal codes, and governing agencies.
• Deliver timely investigation results and document findings for the Claim Adjuster.
• Assess whether further evidence is needed, including but not limited to accident reports, reconstructions of accident scenes, witness statements, police reports, expert opinions, etc.
• Offer recommendations and make decisions regarding investigative efforts.
• Conduct detailed database queries on SIU investigations, including the analysis and organization of critical data to support the investigation at hand.
• Assess State compliance referrals as appropriate when questionable or suspicious activities are detected.
• Maintain active membership in professional organizations that provide resources and assistance related to SIU.
• Build and sustain relationships with law enforcement, government regulatory agencies, and insurance industry professionals, providing assistance as needed or required.
• Strong investigative skills are essential.
• Must possess strong attention to detail.
• Capability to identify patterns of inconsistencies that may indicate fraudulent activity.
• Ability to interact effectively with clients, repair shops, appraisers, and employers.
• Must be capable of working independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Good organizational and time management skills are necessary.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the tools and techniques required for conducting insurance claims investigations.
• Proficiency in computer software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams is expected.
