This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Execute prompt investigations, which include taking recorded statements and conducting interviews with claimants, witnesses, and employers.
• Deliver timely status updates to both the case manager and the client.
• Ensure prompt and clear documentation of claim files.
• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Formulate a suitable investigative action plan.
• Guarantee the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of evidence collected during investigations, while adhering to all relevant laws, legal codes, and regulatory bodies.
• Supply the Claim Adjuster with timely investigation results and document the findings of the investigation.
• Assess whether further evidence is necessary, which may include accident reports, accident scene reconstructions, witness statements, police reports, expert opinions, etc.
• Offer recommendations and decisions regarding investigative efforts.
• Conduct thorough database queries on SIU investigations, including the analysis and organization of critical data to support the investigation.
• Evaluate State compliance referrals as applicable when questionable or suspicious activities are detected.
• Maintain active membership in professional organizations that provide SIU resources and support.
• Build and nurture relationships with law enforcement, government regulatory agencies, and insurance industry professionals, providing assistance as needed or required.
• Strong investigative skills are essential.
• Must possess a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to identify patterns of inconsistencies that may be indicative of fraudulent activity.
• Must be capable of interacting effectively with clients, repair shops, appraisers, and employers.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the tools and techniques necessary for conducting insurance claims investigations.
• Proficiency in computer software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Must be able to maintain an objective perspective while performing tasks.
