This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Conduct investigations and analyses of intricate, multi-disciplinary coverage and claims referred to the Special Investigation Unit to identify potential fraud.
β’ Perform background searches, scene investigations, clinic inspections, recorded statements, witness interviews, and social media inquiries.
β’ Examine and evaluate medical records, bills, and property damage documentation.
β’ Carry out surveillance and develop scene reconstructions as necessary.
β’ Ascertain whether fraud can be substantiated and assist in supporting lawsuits.
β’ Input SIU claim data into various systems.
β’ Review investigations with fraud outcomes and assess the appropriateness of denial decisions.
β’ Update files with the outcomes of investigations and return files for additional processing when fraud is not confirmed or evidence is lacking.
β’ Conduct online data application searches, research, evaluations, and intricate site inspections.
β’ Validate investigative findings, follow up on leads, summarize documents, and document decisions made in claim files.
β’ Utilize analytical tools or SIU field intelligence to pinpoint complex claims and substantiate evidence of fraud and damages.
β’ Research and address complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts, or issues.
β’ Offer work guidance, mentoring, and coaching to junior employees and the team.
β’ Proven experience as an SIU Field Investigator.
β’ Must reside in or near Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester, or surrounding areas.
β’ Ability to conduct complex investigations, online research, site inspections, surveillance, interviews, and scene investigations.
β’ Skills in documentation, law enforcement, and special investigations are essential.
β’ Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States.
β’ Applicants holding an active insurance license must terminate all current appointments before onboarding and cannot hold outside appointments during employment.
β’ Applicants desiring an adjuster role who possess a resident producer license must surrender that license when directed by the licensing team.
β’ Must have a dedicated, distraction-free workspace while working from home.
β’ Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is required.
