This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.
• Assist the Site Works Commodity Manager (Electrical RCM) in fostering a competitive bidding atmosphere.
• Identify, develop, and select suitable suppliers.
• Negotiate contract pricing and terms to secure a cost-effective and dependable site works supply chain.
• Organize and maintain project site files and documentation.
• Manage electronic databases for documents.
• Collaborate with the Site Works Commodity Manager on commodity strategy for commercial bids.
• Aid in contractor evaluation and selection throughout the tender process.
• Create, review, and disseminate RFQ packages.
• Review and assess electrical/mechanical contractor proposal packages.
• Schedule contractor status calls and accurately document meeting minutes.
• Provide project status updates to the Site Works Commodity Manager.
• Expedite the review and validation of RFIs and contractor packages with internal teams.
• Review and enhance contractor terms and conditions in collaboration with GE contract managers.
• Negotiate contractor pricing, NDAs/MNDAs, master service agreements, and project-specific civil and electrical agreements.
• Drive KPIs including Deflation, DTP, Quality, Compliance, and OTD.
• Support the sourcing and development of certified minority-, veteran-, women-owned, and small business suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to GE sourcing policies and procedures.
• Assist with contractor onboarding.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in electrical engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a significant construction project environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pre-construction and/or construction estimating.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
• Must adhere to relevant company travel and tax policies.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and Canada.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.
• Proven skills in project management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results on time and within budget.
