Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage customer on-premises and cloud deployments of our platform, ensuring dependable performance and swift resolution of technical issues.

• Strategize, package, and implement software updates both internally and for customers, including comprehensive testing and validation.

• Work alongside engineering teams to guarantee high-quality deployments and uphold a strong standard of product reliability.

• Deploy, oversee, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters to ensure a reliable and scalable infrastructure.

• Establish and manage monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve issues in production environments.

• Develop scripts and automation for deployment, infrastructure management, and CI/CD workflows.

• Create tools and automation to enhance deployment processes and platform integration.

• Contribute to continuous integration pipelines that identify regressions across components and system integrations.

• Generate and maintain clear documentation for systems, processes, and tools to bolster team effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in high-pressure production environments.

• Demonstrated experience in Linux system administration, software packaging, and delivery.

• Strong understanding of Linux networking fundamentals, including firewalls, DNS, proxies, and best practices.

• Experience in managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production settings.

• Good grasp of the CNCF/cloud-native ecosystem and related tools.

• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.

• Basic scripting abilities (e.g., Bash, Python).

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Interest in automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

• Understanding of microservice architectures, serverless computing, and DevOps best practices.

• [BONUS] Familiarity with virtualization solutions like QEMU/KVM; knowledge of micro-VMMs such as Cloud-Hypervisor or Firecracker is highly advantageous.
