Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Work a schedule of 4 x 10-hour days (from Sunday to Wednesday, roughly 10 PM to 9 AM U.S. Pacific Time, including a lunch break)

• Deploy, manage, and secure Ivanti’s production Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments utilizing AWS and Azure

• Collaborate with geographically distributed, cross-departmental teams to tackle complex challenges

• Automate routine and repetitive tasks

• Create documentation and training materials

• Provide training to fellow colleagues

• Engage in on-call rotations for 24x7 support (using a follow-the-sun model) for incident response, issue triage, and problem resolution

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess U.S. citizenship and reside domestically within the U.S.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Over 3 years of relevant industry experience (or 2+ years with an obtained BSc in Computer Science or a comparable degree)

• Proficient in Python and experienced in at least one of the following languages: Java, Golang, C#

• Proficient in working with Bash or PowerShell programmatically

• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (preferably AWS or Azure)

• Experience in troubleshooting Java and .NET applications

• Experience in diagnosing network and storage infrastructure issues

• Familiarity with core Linux distributions (such as Debian, RHEL, SUSE, Slackware)

• Experience with Windows operating systems

• Experience with one or more databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or similar

• Ability to configure and fine-tune at least one of the following: HA Proxy, Apache, Nginx, IIS, or similar

• Ability to configure monitoring tools like New Relic, DataDog, or Splunk

• Familiarity with container orchestration technologies (preferably AWS EKS or Azure AKS)

• Experience with deployment pipeline tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and/or GitHub Actions

• Proficient in working with and developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
