Site Manager – GIS High Voltage Service Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main on-site representative for GIS construction and installation operations, collaborating with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and local stakeholders.

• Strategically plan, organize, and oversee GIS construction tasks to meet schedule, quality, productivity, and project objectives.

• Foster and uphold environmental, health, and safety protocols in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory standards for high-voltage operations.

• Coordinate field teams and subcontractors to guarantee that GIS installation aligns with drawings, specifications, contracts, and site requirements.

• Supervise the receipt, handling, storage, and documentation of GIS equipment, materials, and components delivered to the site.

• Track progress, risks, and site conditions related to GIS installation, and relay status updates and issues to the project team.

• Ensure accurate construction documentation, reports, schedules, and logs related to GIS site activities are maintained.

• Resolve constructability inquiries, drawing discrepancies, and unforeseen field conditions through collaboration and sound, timely judgment.

• Responsible for ensuring adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in managing construction or modification projects.

• Experience in substation or high-voltage power transmission settings.

• Familiarity with safety practices for working in energized, high-voltage substations.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is preferred; however, a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.

• Capacity to read and interpret contracts, technical specifications, and construction drawings.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other construction or project management tools.
