Site Inspector – Building Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Support Assigned Certifiers and Technical Advisors in the Building Compliance Team by conducting required site inspections.

• Provide photographic documentation and written reports on site conditions.

• Perform site inspections to ensure adherence to the Building Regulations 1997, as amended.

• Conduct inspections based on design drawings, specifications, details, and approved technical submissions.

• Generate reports and review findings with Project Leads.

• Plan and coordinate a variety of inspections across multiple sites nationwide.

• Maintain an updated tracker to reflect availability.

• Store reports and photographic records using a cloud-based system.

• Inform contractors of any non-conformances or issues discovered during inspections before leaving the sites.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with Project Teams.

• Oversee quality assurance and quality control on-site.

• Additional responsibilities may include Clerk of Works duties, site attendance, liaising with Building Control as necessary, and coaching and mentoring staff.


⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with the Building Control Act.

• Understanding of Building Control Regulations.

• Knowledge of Building Standards and Codes of Practice.

• Commitment to continuous professional development to remain informed about industry changes.

• Awareness of Health and Safety requirements.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position, either on-site or within a consultancy.
