Short-Form Video Editor, Livestream Clipper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Monitor livestreams, recorded sessions, and long-form videos to pinpoint the most compelling, clip-worthy moments.

• Conduct independent reviews of 4–8 hours of raw footage each day to discover high-retention hooks, emotional highlights, humorous instances, reactions, or viral-style snippets.

• Transform long-form content into concise clips suitable for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.

• Edit clips to emphasize emotion, tension, humor, conflict, excitement, awkwardness, or strong reactions.

• Utilize techniques such as zoom-ins, jump cuts, captions, sound effects, memes, music, pacing, and visual emphasis to enhance clip engagement.

• Craft captivating openings that capture attention within the initial few seconds.

• Incorporate captions, subtitles, on-screen text, emojis, motion graphics, and visual callouts as necessary.

• Ensure proper video formatting for vertical viewing, particularly for 9:16 short-form platforms.

• Quickly identify trending audio, meme formats, and viral editing styles on TikTok/Reels and apply them to creator footage.

• Preserve the natural flow and context of the original content while enhancing the entertainment value of the clip.

• Adhere to the client’s brand style, tone, and preferred editing format.

• Deliver edited clips promptly and manage multiple clips or batches of content as required.

• Stay informed on livestream clipping trends, creator content, meme culture, social media formats, and audience retention techniques.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in editing livestream clips, creator content, podcast segments, gaming clips, reaction videos, or short-form social media content.

• Strong capability to identify "viral gold" moments from long-form content without needing precise timestamps.

• High internet IQ and a solid understanding of Twitch, Kick, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, creator culture, and chat humor.

• Good sense of emotion, timing, humor, drama, pacing, and audience retention.

• Experience in editing for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, or similar platforms.

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or comparable editing tools.

• Capable of converting a live or recorded moment into a completed short-form video swiftly, ideally within 30 minutes when necessary.

• Skilled in adding captions, zooms, sound effects, music, memes, transitions, and visual emphasis.

• Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling, and the structure of short-form videos.

• Able to enhance a clip's entertainment value without making it misleading or inauthentic.

• Detail-oriented, creative, quick, and able to work independently.

• Comfortable reviewing long livestreams or recordings to extract the best moments.

• Experience in editing gaming, sports, gambling/card games, streamer, creator, or entertainment content.

• Familiarity with meme-style editing and viral short-form formats.

• Experience using AI clipping tools, auto-captioning tools, or content repurposing tools.

• Basic motion graphics or thumbnail design experience.

• Understanding of social media analytics, watch time, retention, and engagement metrics.

• Strong awareness of creators or streamers with effective clipping teams and the elements that make their clips successful.
