
ServiceNow CMDB Senior Manager – Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of and oversee the strategy and roadmap for the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Ensure the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of data across all Configuration Item (CI) classes.
• Manage CI class models, their relationships, and associated data sources.
• Establish and enforce naming conventions, lifecycle states, and data policies for CIs.
• Collaborate closely with Discovery and Integration teams to automate the population of data.
• Ensure that the CMDB structure aligns with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and best practices in service modeling.
• Lead governance processes, standards, and operational controls related to CMDB across the platform.
• Create and sustain CMDB governance councils, policies, and data stewardship practices.
• Propel initiatives for CMDB maturity, including health dashboards, KPI reporting, and programs focused on continuous improvement.
• Outline governance processes for the onboarding of new CI classes, integrations, and data sources.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure precise service mapping and data ownership.
• Design scalable CMDB and CSDM solutions that bolster enterprise operational and business capabilities.
• Supervise Discovery, Service Mapping, and integration architecture to guarantee reliable and automated CI population.
• Review and authorize technical designs, integrations, and changes to the data model related to the CMDB.
• Ensure adherence to platform governance, as well as audit, security, and data retention requirements.
• Provide leadership and guidance for operational support of the CMDB, enhancement delivery, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Assist in planning and validating platform upgrades concerning CMDB, Discovery, and integrations.
• Mentor technical teams while offering architectural guidance for CMDB, Discovery, CSDM, and related platform capabilities.
• Work alongside platform leadership to prioritize CMDB and CSDM initiatives that align with organizational goals and operational maturity objectives.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 8 years of experience with ServiceNow.
• Extensive expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and CSDM.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and IT operations processes.
• Proven experience in leading CMDB governance and maturity programs.
• Solid technical architecture and integration design background.
• Capability to lead cross-functional initiatives and sway enterprise stakeholders.
• Experience in defining operational standards, KPIs, and platform governance processes.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
