This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on all Material Handling Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors according to site standards.
• Oversee the scheduling of Planned Maintenance (PM) for all Fleet Services Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors, ensuring that records of completed PMs are kept up to date.
• Inspect forklifts, automated systems, conveyors, and other operational equipment to verify compliance with OSHA and operational standards.
• Utilize manuals, repair guides, parts manuals, and diagrams to diagnose issues with engines, fuel systems, transmissions, automated systems, conveyors, and other components of material handling equipment.
• Report any damage due to abuse to onsite personnel, providing a detailed account of the issue.
• Coordinate with the KFS Parts Manager regarding the parts and supplies necessary for equipment maintenance.
• Keep an organized inventory of parts and maintain repair records for all equipment through accurate documentation.
• Conduct tests on safety equipment to assure compliance with OSHA and operational standards.
• Maintain precise records of preventive maintenance activities.
• Engage with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
• Ensure the service area is kept clean and organized at all times.
• Required: High school diploma, G.E.D., or completion of a technical school program.
• 2-4 years of mechanical experience is preferred, particularly with the repair and maintenance of material handling equipment, automated systems, conveyors, or comparable machinery.
• ASE Certification is preferred.
• Silver and/or Gold Certification is advantageous.
• Electrical journeyman certification is desirable.
• Experience with electrical and pneumatic systems is preferred.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across various types of equipment.
• Competency in reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic system schematics.
• Must be self-motivated, responsible, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull loads up to 50 lbs.
• Must provide personal mechanic technician hand tools.
• Capability to safely operate lift trucks is essential.
