SEO Lead – AI Search

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of organic growth by enhancing SEO and AEO/AIO performance across traffic, signups, and share of voice in AI responses; you establish the targets and achieve them.

• Develop and manage the roadmap: From conducting keyword and prompt research to setting publishing priorities, programmatic systems, and link strategies; you determine what gets delivered and in which sequence.

• Reposition Softr within LLMs: Transition us from being seen as a "no-code portal builder" to achieving accurate and contemporary positioning across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude.

• Monitor performance in Profound, address citation gaps, and create content patterns that LLMs genuinely reference.

• Lead technical and programmatic SEO initiatives: Oversee site health, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema, and internal linking while collaborating with engineering on programmatic page systems and ensuring quality at scale.

• Develop link, citation, and Reddit authority: Propel link and citation building through owned, earned, and partner channels, along with a strategic Reddit approach that secures mentions trusted by both LLMs and Google.

• Collaborate, report, and pitch new initiatives: Provide Content with structural and on-page guidelines, deliver monthly reports on SEO/AEO performance, identify risks early, and convert algorithm and LLM behavior changes into actionable steps for the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Established organic performance: 5+ years in SEO with tangible achievements demonstrated by significant increases in traffic, signups, or revenue at a SaaS or product-led organization.

• Proficient in AEO/AIO: You have hands-on experience in being cited in AI responses, rather than just theoretical knowledge.

• Experienced with Profound or equivalent tools, possessing a clear understanding of what influences LLMs to quote specific sources over others.

• Expertise in Reddit and citation building (essential): You know how Reddit ranks, its influence on both Google and LLM answers, and have gained visibility there while respecting the community.

• Strong technical SEO skills: You can engage with engineers regarding indexation, rendering, schema, and Core Web Vitals, and implement fixes rather than just submitting requests.

• Programmatic SEO proficiency: You've created and scaled page systems that maintain quality alongside volume.

• Analytical and results-focused: Proficient with GSC, GA, Ahrefs/Semrush, BigQuery, and any tool that provides quick answers. You focus on key metrics that matter and disregard vanity metrics.

• Inquisitive and adaptable: The search landscape evolves monthly; you keep abreast of algorithm and LLM behavior changes and translate them into actionable strategies rather than becoming anxious.

• High ownership and resilience: You approach your role with the mindset of a founder. You take initiative and complete your projects.

• Strong written communication skills: You can effectively brief content teams, present to leadership, and craft clear copy that resonates with both humans and LLMs.
