Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure Group

📋 Description

• Lead intricate projects from the initial phase of gathering requirements and thorough system design to deployment, while effectively assessing dependent technologies and collaborating closely with stakeholders.

• Develop scalable data infrastructure and enhance the developer experience by managing projects such as data cataloging, versioning, and lineage to facilitate smooth research and production workflows.

• Offer technical support to both engineering and research teams, cultivating a nurturing environment that promotes the professional growth of your colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience)

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering

• Demonstrated success in software design and implementation with an emphasis on correctness, robustness, efficiency, and scalability

• Proficient in managing large codebases and developing modular, extensible, and maintainable software

• Expertise in a contemporary programming language, such as Python, Go, Java, or C++

• Practical experience in a Linux/UNIX environment

• Design and implementation experience with scalable services and APIs, high-availability systems, and/or extensive data infrastructure

• Familiarity with data storage and management technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, Artifactory, Ceph, Redis)

• Excellent communication skills with a talent for articulating complex concepts clearly and simply.
