Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Data Engineering Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate and engage in a variety of software development tasks, which include the design and implementation of data processing technologies, sourcing and delivery systems and pipelines, as well as the development of data-related tools and libraries, among other responsibilities.

• Support our trading operations and enhance our research initiatives by ensuring the reliable delivery of high-quality data.

• Construct scalable and robust ingestion and distribution systems, along with fault-tolerant production-critical pipelines.

• Oversee complex projects from inception to completion, which involves gathering requirements, creating a solid software design, considering supporting or dependent technologies, and effectively communicating with stakeholders, collaborators, and team members.

• Offer technical guidance to engineering and research personnel.

• Provide mentorship and support to foster the growth of your teammates and elevate the team's capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering.

• Demonstrated success in software design and implementation, with an emphasis on correctness, robustness, efficiency, and scalability.

• Experience with large codebases and the development of modular, extensible, and maintainable software.

• Proficiency in a modern programming language, such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.

• Practical experience developing in a Linux/UNIX environment.

• Experience in the design and implementation of scalable services, highly available systems, and/or robust data infrastructure.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and simply.
