This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Design and develop a scalable data warehouse or data lakehouse to facilitate analytics, reporting, and business KPIs.
• Create and sustain dependable batch and/or streaming data pipelines from both internal databases and external sources.
• Work closely with stakeholders to convert business requirements into effective data models and schemas.
• Set up and uphold data modeling standards and best practices.
• Implement monitoring, data quality controls, and observability for all data workflows.
• Supply well-organized datasets to empower self-service analytics for BI and data teams.
• Document the data platform, incorporating lineage, definitions, and contracts, to establish a shared source of truth for metrics.
• Over 6 years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficient programming skills in Python.
• A proven history of designing and delivering early-stage data platforms from concept (v1) to production.
• Strong knowledge of modern data tooling (e.g., Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, dbt, Airflow/Dagster/Prefect, Fivetran/Airbyte, etc.).
• Comprehensive understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and pipeline optimization.
• Solid expertise in data quality, testing, and monitoring best practices.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
• Availability to work from 12:00 to 20:00 CET.
• WILL BE A PLUS: Experience with AI/ML data pipelines.
• Familiarity with finance/accounting datasets.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOX or GDPR.
• Experience in mentoring junior engineers.
