Senior/Lead Software Data Engineer – Roads Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for enhancing, scaling, and refining current data processing pipelines.

• Create and establish new data processing pipelines.

• Gather and oversee performance metrics.

• Contribute significantly to discussions and the implementation of security best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid understanding of at least one programming language (C++, Python, Scala, or Java).

• Proficient in AWS services (S3, EC2, IAM, EMR, Glue, Athena, Kinesis) or any alternative cloud platform.

• Comfortable with SQL and possess a solid grasp of SQL engine fundamentals.

• Strong comprehension of distributed computing principles.

• Familiarity with at least one workflow management tool, such as Airflow, Oozie, or Luigi.

• Exceptional analytical thinking skills with the ability to support technical decisions.

• Innovative, resourceful, and creative problem solver.

• Outstanding communication abilities in English, both written and spoken.

• Previous experience in the mapping, navigation, or automotive sector (Nice to Have).

• Practical experience with data processing platforms/frameworks (Spark or others) (Nice to Have).
