This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop and lead the comprehensive QA strategy, focusing on automation coverage, quality metrics, and criteria for release readiness.
• Create, implement, and sustain automated testing frameworks for web, mobile, APIs, and smart contract integration.
• Embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines (such as GitHub Actions) to facilitate continuous delivery.
• Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting for significant releases, encompassing functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Work collaboratively with product managers and engineers to establish acceptance criteria and ensure the testability of requirements.
• Develop tools and processes for testing across different browsers, devices, and wallet integrations.
• Set and uphold QA best practices across various teams.
• Mentor fellow QA engineers and analysts, offering insights on automation, bug triage, and process enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps to enhance release pipelines and quality gates.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/software testing (including over 2 years in the Web3 domain), with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in developing and scaling test automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Puppeteer, etc.).
• Extensive experience with CI/CD integration for automated testing workflows.
• Knowledge of Web3 technologies, including smart contracts, wallets (MetaMask, WalletConnect, hardware wallets), blockchain transactions, and gas estimations.
• Experience in testing APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, Linear, TestRail, etc.).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a history of cross-functional collaboration.
• Solid grasp of smart contract development frameworks (Hardhat, Foundry) [Nice-to-Have].
• Background in security and performance testing specifically for blockchain and decentralized applications (dApps) [Nice-to-Have].
• Familiarity with DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, or L2 scaling solutions [Nice-to-Have].
• Programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python (for developing automation tools/tests) [Nice-to-Have].
• Previous experience scaling QA in a startup or rapidly growing environment [Nice-to-Have].
