Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and outstanding user experience of products through both manual and automated testing.

• Create and implement thorough test cases derived from product requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Conduct exploratory and regression testing, while identifying and documenting any defects.

• Develop and sustain scalable automation frameworks, incorporating them into CI/CD pipelines.

• Work in close collaboration with development teams to maintain high standards of usability, performance, and reliability.

• Formulate detailed and well-organized test plans and cases.

• Validate bug resolutions and re-test to ensure defects are adequately addressed.

• Analyze and monitor test results to investigate failures and collaborate with teams to rectify defects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, encompassing both manual and automation testing.

• Proven experience in defining and executing QA strategies for intricate software systems.

• More than 3 years of experience in JavaScript, Typescript, and NodeJS.

• At least 3 years of experience in test automation design and implementation (e.g., using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in native mobile test automation design and implementation (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox, AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack App Automate, Firebase Test Lab, Sauce Labs, Kobiton, Robot Framework, BitBar, LambdaTest Mobile, HeadSpin, Tricentis Testim, or similar).

• Expertise in defining and executing test plans, automation frameworks, and quality metrics.

• Strong collaborative skills to synchronize testing activities with Development, DevOps, and Product Management teams.

• Ability to critically assess requirements for quality, ensuring clarity, testability, and completeness.

• Demonstrated capability to identify release risks, escalate issues, and recommend no-go decisions if quality standards or release criteria are unmet.

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC/Agile/Scrum practices.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

• Proven track record of integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes.

• Proficiency in QA and defect tracking tools (e.g., TestPad, Qase, TestRail, Jira, Asana, Confluence).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong self-organization and adaptability skills.

• Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
