QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold automated UI tests (Playwright/TypeScript) emphasizing reliability and efficiency.

• Design and sustain automated API tests (CRUD, authentication, edge scenarios) and assist with debugging using tools similar to Postman.

• Establish practical testing strategies for features (test pyramid, risk-based coverage) and compose clear test plans/cases as necessary.

• Analyze failures (test flakes, environmental issues, regressions) and facilitate resolutions with engineers.

• Enhance CI quality gates (smoke/regression suites, reporting, triage process).

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering from specification through release to post-production support.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools (e.g., coding assistants) to expedite test creation while ensuring maintainability is not compromised.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software testing with a strong emphasis on automation.

• Strong practical experience with TypeScript and Playwright (real test suites, not basic tests).

• Experience in API testing and the ability to comprehend failures in distributed systems.

• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and debugging purposes.

• Experience with CI (pipelines, executing tests headless, managing artifacts, generating reports).

• Proficient in English (both written and spoken) at an upper-intermediate level or higher.

• Nice-to-haves: Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and test reporting.

• Experience in testing AI/ML integrations (third-party services, latency, non-determinism, fallbacks).

• A mindset geared towards prompt-based testing/evaluation (anticipated behaviors, safety measures, regression sets).
