Senior/Lead Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead technical initiatives for modeling and analytics projects from initial concept to production deployment, ensuring high technical quality and alignment with business goals;

• Establish and advocate for best practices in feature engineering, architecture, and data structuring, elevating the team's technical capabilities;

• Examine data to extract strategic insights across various business domains, identifying growth opportunities and potential risks, and converting findings into actionable decisions;

• Design, implement, and validate machine learning models and tools—such as scoring, propensity, churn, and segmentation models—acting as the technical expert for the team in selecting methodologies and approaches.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Python and its data science libraries, alongside proficiency in SQL and PySpark;

• Strong background in statistics and machine learning, with the capability to choose, justify, and document the most appropriate approach for each business challenge;

• Practical experience in developing predictive features from both structured and unstructured data sources, including transactional and alternative datasets;

• Experience with predictive modeling projects in large-scale, complex settings—covering classification, regression, ranking, or optimization tasks;

• Significant experience using the Databricks platform;

• Outstanding communication skills to articulate complex results and influence decision-making among both business and technology stakeholders.
