Senior Workplace Engineer, M365, PowerShell, German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Development and maintenance of advanced PowerShell automation workflows, streamlining processes such as user provisioning, permission modifications, resource configurations, and other operational tasks.

• Automation and support of Microsoft 365 operations, which includes tenant administration, user lifecycle management, license assignments, and configurations across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.

• Troubleshooting and resolving basic to moderately complex issues related to Microsoft 365 services, Windows operating systems, and Windows File Services, while collaborating with senior engineers and sharing insights with junior team members.

• Clear communication with clients to provide updates on incidents and projects, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating across teams to identify the best possible solutions.

• Research, propose, and validate enhancements to existing processes, documentation, and automation scripts, while maintaining and updating technical documentation to support the entire team.

• Support in software packaging and deployment efforts, ensuring the reliable delivery of applications across managed environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a similar role.

• Proficient programming skills in PowerShell, with knowledge of additional languages such as Java, C#, or Python being a plus.

• Experience with software distribution tools (e.g., SCCM/MECM, Intune, etc.).

• Strong expertise in installing and configuring Microsoft operating systems, including the use of GPOs, registry settings, and related management tools.

• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft 365 applications, including Microsoft 365 Apps/Office.

• Extensive experience in software packaging, such as creating MSI files, utilizing InstallShield, and building configuration files.

• Experience with AppX/MSIX is a plus.

• Solid knowledge of Windows File Services.

• Advanced proficiency in both German and English.
