Senior Windows Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the engineering and maintenance of Windows server platforms that support essential digital services within ASD.

• Design, construct, and manage core Windows services such as Active Directory, DNS, PKI, Remote Desktop Services, and WSUS.

• Lead intricate systems design initiatives, ensuring a balance between functional and non-functional requirements.

• Integrate and provide support for management and security software, configurations, and MFA solutions throughout the Windows environment.

• Create server automation and scripting solutions to enhance build, configuration, and operational processes.

• Assume responsibility for systems installation, migration, and decommissioning projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active PV security clearance

• Citizenship of Australia

• Proven senior-level experience in designing, testing, and deploying new versions of the Windows Server operating system in enterprise or high assurance settings

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, PKI, Remote Desktop Services, WSUS, and VMware integration

• Strong familiarity with security software and hardening practices related to Windows operating systems, including MFA integration

• Demonstrated proficiency at SFIA Level 5 in systems design and installation, Level 4 in problem management, and Level 3 in scripting and software development.
