Senior Web Services Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain customized PHP and MySQL applications that support essential business workflows.

• Develop and maintain bespoke WordPress plugins and integrations (excluding theme-only or page builder tasks).

• Create modern frontend applications utilizing Next.js and React, with experience deploying on Vercel.

• Transform Figma designs into clean, responsive, and accessible code while working closely with UX/UI designers.

• Contribute to Cursor-assisted development workflows, responsibly utilizing AI tools to enhance quality and productivity.

• Develop and improve SharePoint solutions, including customizations, integrations, and workflow enhancements.

• Actively engage in Agile sprint ceremonies, such as grooming, planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Operate within a story point / actual point sprint framework, delivering outcomes that are predictable and measurable.

• Collaborate with product managers, QA, designers, and other engineers to achieve high-quality releases.

• Follow established SDLC standards, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment procedures.

• Diagnose, optimize, and refactor existing systems to enhance performance, stability, and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in custom PHP development (both procedural and object-oriented programming).

• Strong understanding of MySQL, covering schema design, indexing, and query optimization.

• Proven track record of building custom WordPress plugins (including hooks, filters, REST APIs, custom post types, and admin tools).

• Practical experience with Next.js and React in production settings.

• Familiarity with deployment on Vercel or other modern hosting platforms.

• Experience with Cursor or similar AI-assisted development tools in daily workflows.

• Demonstrated compliance with SDLC best practices (including version control, code reviews, testing, and release management).

• Proficiency in SharePoint development, encompassing customization and integration tasks.

• Strong capability to convert Figma designs into accurate, maintainable code.

• Experience in a sprint-based Agile environment governed by story points and team commitments.

• Ability to work effectively in collaboration with cross-functional team members.
