This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Define Project-Specific Verification Strategy: Establish and implement scalable, reusable verification plans, test benches, and verification environments for blocks, subsystems, and SoCs.
• Lead Verification Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans and facilitate technical reviews with design and architecture teams to validate these plans and proofs.
• Execute Verification Plan: Implement and operate block, subsystem, cluster, and SoC simulation models to verify design, analyze power and performance, and identify defects.
• Investigate and Resolve Bugs: Replicate, root cause, and debug issues in the pre-silicon environment. Identify and apply corrective actions to address failing tests.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with SoC architects, micro architects, full chip architects, RTL developers, post-silicon, and physical design teams to enhance the verification of complex architectural and microarchitectural features.
• Enhance Future Verification Methodologies: Continuously refine existing functional verification infrastructure and methodologies.
• Lead and Mentor Others: Inspire and guide junior engineers, promoting their growth and professional development.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or another relevant STEM-related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in ASIC/FPGA design verification.
• Proficiency in developing UVM and/or formal-based verification architectures and methodologies.
• Familiarity with industry-standard protocols such as AMBA AXI/AXI-S/CHI/APB and low-speed communication protocols like UART, SPI, or I2C/I3C.
• Hands-on experience with simulators (e.g., Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, or equivalent).
• Expertise in coverage-driven verification, constrained-random testing, and robust debugging skills.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, TCL, and shell scripting.
• Graduate or post-graduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or any STEM-related field, coupled with a total of 8+ years of experience.
• Skilled in various validation concepts and debugging techniques pertinent to the ASIC/FPGA domain.
• Strong communication skills when interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
