Senior UX Developer, NIH Data Lakehouse Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead human-centered design initiatives for lakehouse workflows, spanning from discovery to delivery.

• Execute user research, usability assessments, and stakeholder interviews to guide design choices for researchers, analysts, and platform administrators.

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, user flows, and interaction models tailored for data search, filtering, access, and review experiences.

• Craft interfaces that enable users to comprehend complex data, metadata, permissions, and status information with clarity and confidence.

• Create high-quality, scalable UI components and features that facilitate lakehouse workflows and dashboards.

• Implement responsive, high-performance, and maintainable front-end architecture.

• Collaborate with engineers to ensure design accuracy, technical feasibility, and uniformity across the platform.

• Integrate with GraphQL APIs, search services, and other backend systems that enhance data lakehouse user experiences.

• Contribute to design systems, component libraries, and front-end best practices for platform-wide utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• Strong portfolio showcasing human-centered design thinking and delivered digital products or data platform experiences.

• Proficient in modern front-end technologies such as React, Next.js, GraphQL, React component kits, TypeScript, and component-based architecture.

• Experience in user research and translating findings into actionable design decisions.

• Skilled in creating prototypes using relevant design or product tools.

• Solid understanding of interaction design, information architecture, usability principles, and complex workflow design.
