Senior Utilities Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Provide support to all US Fresh and Packaged Meat Facilities as needed.

• Collaborate directly with facility teams and project engineering to establish Capital Infrastructure Plans.

• Engage with professional refrigeration engineering resources throughout the design and development phases of projects.

• Assist facilities and the PSM Management Team with compliance-related matters as requested.

• Help in creating designs, which include equipment selection, obtaining quotes, and scheduling tasks as required.

• Develop and aid in implementing solutions to issues concerning facility refrigeration systems.

• Introduce new systems and standardize equipment specifications.

• Support the planning and budgeting process for various utilities engineering improvement initiatives.

• Conduct research and assist in testing new technologies.

• Identify and rectify deficiencies in existing systems by performing load, charge, and relief calculations.

• Lead multiple initiatives across different fields, ensuring compliance with established protocols and practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the operations, maintenance, and optimization of Ammonia Refrigeration systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• RETA CIRO (Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator) certification.

• Certification from the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration.

• ANSI/IIAR2 certification.

• Garden City Program Operator II certification or an equivalent certification from another nationally recognized ammonia training program is mandatory.

• Strong skills in reading, mathematics, writing, and analytical thinking are essential.
