This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Evaluate current Care Communications implementations and create upgrade strategies based on software, hardware, network, and integration needs.
• Implement upgrades across both Windows and Linux platforms, including application servers, databases, and proprietary Baxter hardware.
• Set up and verify networking components such as TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, wireless technologies, and security measures.
• Assist with technical integrations involving customer infrastructure, middleware, clinical systems, and third-party applications.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate issues related to operating systems, databases, networks, applications, and connected devices.
• Conduct system verification and testing processes to ensure performance, reliability, and functionality after upgrades.
• Create and uphold technical documentation, upgrade procedures, and deployment standards.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing upgrade quality, efficiency, and consistency.
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or over 4 years of equivalent experience in software, systems administration, or networking.
• Proven experience in deploying, upgrading, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments, SQL Server, IIS, and related enterprise systems.
• Experience with deploying, configuring, and supporting Linux-based environments, including Kubernetes platforms.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, IP routing, switching, VLANs, OSI model, client-server architecture, and network security.
• Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Windows and Linux operating systems in production settings.
• Proficiency in at least two of the following technical areas: SQL, scripting, reporting tools, or analytics platforms.
• Networking expertise (routing, switching, security).
• Experience with enterprise hardware, storage, or server infrastructure.
• Knowledge of middleware platforms.
• Experience with HL7 integrations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows.
• Proficient in Linux and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of enterprise wireless networking.
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies and associated security protocols.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
