Senior Underwriter – Commercial Lines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Support a profitable portfolio by evaluating and deciding on new, renewal, and endorsement applications in line with company policies.

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the business class and industry trends, offering market insight expertise to enhance our AI-assisted selection and pricing models.

• Work in conjunction with our internal actuarial, claims, and compliance teams to ensure pricing adequacy, assess loss experiences, and comply with state-specific regulatory requirements.

• Identify discrepancies in pricing market standards and modeled outputs; provide actionable recommendations for the underwriting and product teams.

• Monitor the profitability and quality of submissions.

• Stay informed about changes in underwriting, product offerings, and pricing strategies.

• Price risks and arrange facultative reinsurance.

• Model CRP and/or BOP risks to guarantee accuracy in pricing.

• Adjust coverage terms and conditions to alleviate pricing and eligibility obstacles, ultimately enhancing our insurance solutions for customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A/B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university or an equivalent level of work experience.

• 10-15 years of experience in insurance, specifically in commercial underwriting, claims, or product development.

• Professional designation (CPCU, AU, ARM) is preferred.

• Occasional travel may be necessary.
