Product Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Serve as a strategic legal advisor for product teams entering new international markets.

• Ensure that legal obligations for product initiatives are clearly defined and actionable.

• Identify leverage points and implement AI-assisted workflows to enhance legal processes.

• Assess and manage Instacart’s exposure across diverse legal compliance areas.

• Cultivate a reputation for the Legal team as a facilitator within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a prestigious law school with active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.

• Over 5 years of legal experience in a top law firm or an in-house legal department.

• Knowledge of legal matters related to the Internet and e-commerce sectors (copyright, privacy, advertising, payments, SaaS).

• Capability to deliver clear and concise legal guidance and achieve results across different functions.

• Demonstrated ability to handle competing priorities across multiple teams in a fast-paced setting.

• Proficiency in utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency and streamline legal workflows.
