This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Execute comprehensive quantity takeoffs from civil and power utility drawings utilizing Bluebeam and PlanSwift, showcasing expertise in interpreting utility-specific plan sets.
• Perform meticulous plan reviews and specification assessments to pinpoint missing information, seek clarifications, and address scope-related inquiries prior to bid submission.
• Oversee the entire bid solicitation and submission process, from receipt of plans to the final delivery of bids, including coordination of pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Act as the main estimator liaison for clients, directly interacting with home builders and general contractors to clarify project scope, respond to technical inquiries, and aid the sales process.
• Monitor active bid invitations, manage the estimating pipeline, and collaborate with internal teams regarding project requirements and timelines.
• Assist in post-award processes such as subcontractor buyouts, RFIs, submittal packages, and continuous coordination with subcontractors and suppliers concerning scope and scheduling.
• A minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in underground utilities, civil construction, or related fields, with a proven track record on large-scale projects ($500K+) for U.S.-based clients.
• Proficient in Bluebeam and PlanSwift software; essential experience in interpreting civil and utility drawings.
• Strong capability to read and understand civil drawings, power utility drawings, specifications, and plan schedules with a high level of precision.
• Comprehensive experience in the bid process — from takeoff and pricing coordination to formal submission, along with familiarity in post-award workflows (buyouts, RFIs, submittals, scope coordination).
• Demonstrated experience in direct client engagement during the estimating and bidding process; comfort with customer-facing interactions and sales-oriented communications.
• Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal); previous experience working remotely for U.S.-based contractors is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of underground utilities, power, and communications infrastructure is highly regarded.
