Senior Transmission Line Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for designing High Voltage (69kV-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD software.

• Promoting teamwork among various disciplines and project team members.

• Serving as the point of contact for clients to establish project scope and comprehend their needs.

• Creating construction documentation for the transmission line.

• Final outputs consist of project design criteria, plan and profile drawings, structure framing and loading drawings, assembly drawings, structure foundation drawings, and construction specifications.

• Coordinating specific design elements of projects, estimating construction costs, and specifying materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required.

• At least 10 years of engineering experience is mandatory, with a minimum of 8 years in Transmission Line Engineering or a related field.

• A PE license is essential.

• Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE is preferred.

• Prior experience with or for a Utility is highly desirable.

• Ability to maintain positive relationships with clients.

• Capable of completing assigned tasks independently.

• Actively manages personal workload.

• Effectively supports the training and mentoring of team members.

• Responsible for reviewing project drawings, calculations, and specifications.

• Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and AutoCAD is preferred.

• Proficiency in MFAD/LPILE is preferred.

• Must possess authorization to work permanently in the US.
